Menstrual health

Globally, 2.3 billion people live without basic sanitation services and in developing countries, only 27% of people have adequate handwashing facilities at home, according to UNICEF. Not being able to use these facilities makes it harder for women and young girls to manage their periods safely and with dignity

Poor menstrual hygiene can cause physical health risks and has been linked to reproductive and urinary tract infections, according to UNICEF. It also stops women from reaching their full potential when they miss out on opportunities crucial to their growth. Young girls who do not receive an education are more likely to enter child marriages and experience an early pregnancy, malnourishment, domestic violence, and pregnancy complications as a result. Period shame has negative mental effects as well. It disempowers women, causing them to feel embarrassed about a normal biological process.

In 2018 alone, people in the U.S. bought 5.8 billion tampons, and over the course of a lifetime, a single menstruator will use somewhere between 5 and 15 thousand pads and tampons, the vast majority of which will wind up in landfills as plastic waste. The most common menstrual products are a veritable cornucopia of plastic. Tampons come wrapped in plastic, encased in plastic applicators, with plastic strings dangling from one end, and many even include a thin layer of plastic in the absorbent part. Pads generally incorporate even more plastic, from the leak-proof base to the synthetics that soak up fluid to the packaging.

For Ann Borowski, who researched the ecological impact of sanitary products, the sheer numbers were astounding.

“I don’t want to contribute 40 years of garbage to a landfill just to manage something that shouldn’t even be seen as a problem” she says. “It seems like something we should have a little more control of by now. I don’t want to have that kind of burden on the planet".

Our Graphene enhanced sanitary products posses three prime characteristics:

  • They are Eco-friendly as start decomposing within six months of them being disposed.
  • The Graphene used in the manufacturing of the Sanitary Pads have deodorising and antibacterial properties.
  • They are healthy and safe as no chemicals, bleaches or perfumes are used in the manufacturing process.
  • They are Breathable The conventional sanitary pads tend to restrict the free flow of air while trapping the dampness and heat and promoting the growth of bacterial and fungal infections. However, with the breathable layers that are possible only with the inclusion of graphene oxide that we produce. With the newest techniques of making use of graphene in sanitary products, they become breathable and deter the growth of forms of fungal and bacterial infections.

They have extreme absorbing ability and are able to absorb three times that of conventional sanitary pads. The sufficient supply of hydrogen in the pads can hold up the penetrated water instead of allowing them to back-flow or leak sideways. Our graphene infused sanitary pads has 360-degree wrapping technology that has leak-proof and edge-lock abilities.

Graphene is the thinnest yet the most robust nano-material that can be used in sanitary products. Graphene enhanced sanitary pads have the ability to absorb 5 times more fluid traditional pads. We makes the bottom layer of the sanitary pads breathable allowing the free-flow of air
 to activate the blood flow.

Our products contain no harmful chemicals, toxins, bleaches or perfumes

Standard sanitation products usually consist of acetone, heavy metals, formaldehyde, dioxin, and many more chemicals. These substances tend to cause allergies and irritation to the skin, and with prolonged exposure, they may lead to some of the severe health issues. Also, these products are believed to contain carcinogens and harmful hormone disrupters.

Graphene Oxide Strip: The excellent combination of the naturally found element like the graphene oxide along with the hydrogel lining on the sanitary pads is known to reduce the odour or the growth of bacteria as well. They also tend to help with the menstrual cramps as well.
Unpleasant odour and does not provide any protection from bacteria: The protection fragrances in the regular pads tend to cause irritation of the skin and allergies as well. The damp and warm environment created in the pad promotes fungal and bacterial infection as well.

BENEFITS of our graphene enhanced sanitary products:

  • Reduces the abdominal cramps during menstruation
  • Can absorb 5 times more fluid than traditional pads.
  • Possesses anti-cancer effects
  • Contains no harmful chemicals, toxins, bleaches, and perfumes
  • Thinnest nano-material that can be used in sanitary products
  • Can be washed and reused more than 20 times.
  • Eco-friendly as start decomposing within six months of them being disposed
  • Eliminates allergies and infections.
